Our Services: overview
MapPlace provides evidence to advise, compare and support any service location planning. Our modelling uses various verified local population and patient data sets to produce evidence-based findings that aid communication and discussion. In particular our process is designed to facilitate the engagement of all stakeholders and any public consultation through the use of easy-to-understand maps and charts that help communicate the evidence-base behind any proposal.
Typical projects
Our work is all around healthcare service and capacity planning. Here are some typical projects we could help you with.
- Comparing different options on placement of GP clusters and urgent care centres, e.g.
"We want to provide acute care services for our twenty surgeries. What is the best location?" - Developing statistics and easy-to-understand maps and charts for public consultation, e.g.
"This map shows public transport travel times to our four new acute care centres" - What-if analysis of patient usage and predictions for future locations, e.g.
"Here is a comparison of access and capacity for these seven possible reconfiguration options" - Analysis of capacity planning and options, e.g.
"If we combined these services into one place what is the effect on patient service delivery?"
